The Gallatin Laundry Building provided Bozeman with laundry and dry cleaning services from 1917 to 2018. This historic renovation focused on preserving the one-hundred-year-old building's character while updating the internal systems. The HVAC was originally engineered to provide 10,000 sq. ft. of leasable space for 6 individual tenants and leases via packaged rooftop heat pumps and VRF systems to supply heating, cooling, and ventilation. The electrical power and lighting systems were designed to provide power and safety to the new tenants. The plumbing was replaced and brought up to code and ADA requirements. During construction a single tenant leased the building and minimal changes had to be made to the design for the outdoor retailer. Backcountry is now suited to lease this historic space and serve the Bozeman community.
